Skull & Flowers Monotype Variation #4

Made August 2021 in Maine at my friend Rachel’s basement studio, as part of a series of variations on the same image. While the monotype process means each print is unique, the remaining materials on the plate allow for a second “ghost print” pressing. This also allows for interventions onto the plate in between pressings. So while the forms themselves remain the same the image changes through additions and degradations.
